Boardman deserves better than stale politics. I’m here to fix what’s broken, unlock new energy, and build what’s next — with grit, urgency, and results.
No more waiting, no more excuses — Boardman needs bold moves now.

Why I’m Running
BOARDMAN IS AT A TURNING POINT
It’s time for new energy, new ideas, and a new standard of leadership.I’m running for Trustee because I care deeply about this community and see its potential being held back by outdated policies, neglected priorities, and a lack of urgency. We can’t afford to keep managing decline — we need to start leading progress. My focus is on results, not politics. I believe in creating a local government that listens, acts, and leads with purpose. That means making it easier to do business in Boardman, addressing long-standing issues with infrastructure and redevelopment, and ensuring that residents see their tax dollars producing real, visible outcomes.I’m not here to maintain the status quo. I’m here to challenge it — and to work every day to make Boardman stronger, safer, and more forward-thinking for the next generation.
My Plan for Boardman
NO MORE TALK - ITS TIME TO BUILD
Smart Redevelopment
🧱 Implement form-based zoning overlays in key corridors to allow walkable, mixed-use development.📊 Create simple, easy-to-understand pitch packages for developers - with site maps, zoning info, and incentive menus like CRA (property tax breaks), TIF (reinvesting new tax revenue locally), and PACE (low-interest loans for energy upgrades) - to show why Boardman is worth building in.🏢 Launch a formal outreach system to actively recruit national tenants and developers with updated visuals, corridor data, and direct contact to bring new life to Boardman's vacant spaces.🏬 Focus on transforming vacant retail (like the mall) into job-creating, tax-generating sites with purpose.
More Business, Less Burden
📈 Retain and support existing Boardman businesses by listening to their challenges and making it easier to grow right here, not relocate✂️ Cut red tape and streamline the zoning and permitting process, so businesses spend less time in paperwork and more time creating jobs🏢 Use tools like CRA and TIF to encourage reinvestment in struggling corridors — without giving handouts or making taxpayers foot the bill📋 Make Boardman competitive with surrounding communities by keeping our regulations consistent, transparent, and builder-friendly💵 The goal is simple: expand our tax base, so we can fund public services without constant new levies on homeowners
Public Safety
👮 Ensure police and fire departments are fully staffed, properly equipped, and never left behind🏫 Advocate for improved emergency coordination with schools, senior facilities, and major venues
Support for Our Seniors
🏠 Champion the creation of a Boardman Senior Center — exploring options to fund it with existing local tax dollars📞 Improve visibility of property tax relief programs, senior housing resources, and township services🧭 Work to simplify access to these programs with clear outreach and streamlined communication
Protect People, Preserve Neighborhoods
Support partnerships to address homelessness with compassion and coordination🚧 Ensure cleaner, safer neighborhoods by improving how we enforce property upkeep and zoning codes
Fix What’s Broken
🧱 Support and continue to build on stormwater projects🏚 Speed up cleanup of vacant and neglected properties across key corridors🌇 Encourage reinvestment in aging plazas along Market Street and South Avenue🛣 Ensure Boardman has a strong voice with ODOT on Route 224 projects, including maintenance, safety upgrades, landscaping, and emergency access during improvements
Meet Cody
Build. Grow. Win.

I graduated from Boardman High School in 2013, and I’ve worked in this community ever since. From delivering mail to managing operations at one of the world’s largest companies, I’ve built my career by showing up, solving problems, and leading with urgency and accountability.Today, I work as an Area Manager at Amazon Logistics, where I’ve earned multiple promotions by leading teams, managing complex operations, and delivering results under pressure. I know what it takes to build something that works — and to fix something that doesn’t.I’m running for Trustee because I care about where Boardman is headed. I’ve seen the potential here, and I’ve also seen the frustration — from empty plazas to stalled redevelopment and the red tape that holds good ideas back.I believe local government should be responsive, efficient, and focused on results — not excuses. I value hard work, common sense, and straight answers. I listen. I lead. And I get things done.I’m not a career politician. I’m someone who’s lived the everyday challenges in this community, and I’m ready to bring new energy, fresh thinking, and a results-driven mindset to township leadership.
